Rio SEO alternative

A Rio SEO alternative for brands that want every location's website in one hub

Rio SEO is an enterprise local-marketing platform: listings, local pages, a store locator, reviews and managed services, now tied to Forsta's customer-experience suite. A Rio SEO alternative is worth a look if you want full location websites your owners can update, a Google Maps rank grid for each location, and a price you can see before the first call. If you run a large retail or restaurant estate with online ordering and a CX program, Rio SEO may still fit better.

Multistead: from $249 per location per month, billed annually. Unlimited users.

What Rio SEO offers, as of October 2026

On rioseo.com, Rio SEO calls its product the Local Experience (LX) platform. The modules listed are Local Listings, Local Pages, Local Reviews, Local Ratings, Local Reporting and Local Social, alongside Forsta AI. Its solutions include store locator software, online ordering, email and mobile marketing and business photo optimization.

Rio SEO says the platform "integrates with hundreds of the world's leading search engines, maps applications, social networks, voice assistants, online ordering platforms, and much more", naming Google, Apple, Yelp, Bing, Facebook and Nextdoor.

It also sells managed services: review response, local SEO copywriting, link building, Google Posts and technical website audits.

What Rio SEO does well: enterprise scale, a store locator plus local pages, listings across a wide network, and a team that can do the work for you. For brands already running Forsta for customer experience, one family of tools is a real advantage.

Rio SEO and Forsta

In July 2022, Forsta and Rio SEO announced they were combining to cover "the entire customer journey from discovery to purchase to brand reputation and advocacy" (Business Wire release, July 26, 2022). Forsta itself had been acquired by Press Ganey, which completed the deal in April 2022. As of October 2026, rioseo.com lists Forsta AI in its product menu, and its legal pages sit on a Forsta domain.

For buyers, the practical point is that Rio SEO is part of a larger experience-management group. That can mean deeper CX integration. It is also worth asking how local-marketing features rank on that group's roadmap.

Rio SEO pricing

Rio SEO does not publish prices. As of October 2026, the site offers demos rather than a price list, and we found no reliable third-party figure worth quoting. Ask for a per-location price, a breakdown of platform versus managed-service fees, and the contract term in writing.

Why brands look for a Rio SEO alternative

  • They want websites, not landing pages. A locator page per location is useful, but owners often need to change team members, offers and photos themselves. See our guide to location pages for what a strong page contains.
  • They want to see rankings by neighborhood. A local rank tracker with a grid per location shows where each one is invisible.
  • They want a number before a sales cycle. Published per-location pricing lets a marketing director build a brand-fund budget before the first call.

Checklist: evaluating an enterprise local platform

  • Can each location owner edit their own page without a ticket, and what is locked by HQ?
  • Are location pages crawlable HTML with LocalBusiness schema, or a JavaScript widget?
  • How are rankings measured: by keyword, by grid, and how often?
  • Which directories are covered, and is it real-time sync or periodic matching?
  • What is platform fee, what is managed service, and what is setup?
  • What can we export if we leave, and is any exit fee written into the contract?
  • Can we migrate without breaking existing URLs?

Multistead's answers to the last three: prices are published, plus a one-time setup fee, quoted on your first call, based on the number of sites. If you leave, you can take an export of your sites (an offboarding fee is agreed up front in your contract, so there are no surprises). Mirror mode runs each location's current site unchanged on day one, then moves locations to new templates one at a time, and our team sets up redirects from the old page addresses as each one moves.

Questions

Who owns Rio SEO?

Forsta and Rio SEO announced in July 2022 that they were combining. Forsta was acquired by Press Ganey in April 2022. As of October 2026, rioseo.com lists Forsta AI in its products.

How much does Rio SEO cost?

Rio SEO does not publish prices, and we found no reliable third-party figure. Ask for a per-location price with platform, managed-service and setup fees broken out.

Does Rio SEO include rank tracking?

We did not see rank tracking named on Rio SEO's home page as of October 2026. Ask Rio SEO directly. Multistead includes a 7×7 Google Maps grid for every location.

Can Multistead replace Rio SEO's listings?

For many brands, yes for the key directories: our team sets up and matches your listings during onboarding, and the platform flags mismatches. It is not automatic real-time syndication to hundreds of networks, so brands that need that can keep a listings tool alongside.

Will moving our location pages hurt SEO?

Any migration carries risk, mostly from broken URLs. Multistead's mirror mode runs each current site unchanged first, then moves locations one at a time, so you can check rankings before and after each move.

Rio SEO, Forsta and Press Ganey are trademarks of their owners. Multistead is not affiliated with them. Competitor details come from the sources linked on this page as of October 2026. Check current features, prices and terms with each vendor.
