Birdeye alternative
Birdeye is best known for review management and customer messaging for local businesses. Reviews win the click on Google Maps; the location's website wins the booking. Multistead does both for every location, plus local SEO and a Maps rank grid, from one hub.
Birdeye is broad. As of October 2026, its homepage describes "AI Coworkers for Multi-location Brands": reviews, listings, social, Pages, chatbot and content on the marketing side; front desk, appointments and reminders on the operations side; and surveys, ticketing and reporting for customer experience. Reviewers often praise how it brings reviews from many sites into one place and how easy it is to use. If text and email review requests, webchat and front-desk automation are central to your business, Birdeye covers far more of that than Multistead does.
Multistead's AI drafts a reply to every new Google review in the brand's voice and with that location's details. Positive reviews can be answered automatically. Anything sensitive, such as a complaint, a refund or a health question, waits for the location owner to approve, so nothing goes out that shouldn't. For clinics, that matters: a reply that confirms someone is a patient can be a privacy problem. Multistead runs on MFA, an audit log and encryption, and we sign a BAA.

Per-location titles, schema and sitemaps, and a checklist score showing what each page is missing.
A 7×7 grid around every location, so you can see whether better reviews are moving rankings.
Cases, requests and approved changes with SLAs, instead of email threads with each owner.
Each location has its own reports and dashboards, and HQ sees all of them in one place.
We set up and match each location's listings during onboarding, and the platform flags mismatches after that.
$249, $449 or $649 per location per month, billed annually (monthly billing costs more), plus $990 a month for headquarters, with unlimited users and a one-time setup fee, quoted on your first call, based on the number of sites. Local at $449 per location matches Birdeye's top reported tier, and Birdeye's entry plan is reported at $299, so Multistead is not the cheaper choice on price. Compare on scope instead: your current reviews platform plus your web vendor and rank-tracking tool for each location. If you leave, you can take an export of your sites (an offboarding fee is agreed up front in your contract, so there are no surprises).
Stay if you rely on review requests by text, webchat, surveys or appointment reminders, and your location websites already work. If you are comparing Birdeye with Podium for messaging, see Birdeye vs Podium and our Podium alternative page.
Annual plans are a 12-month commitment at the lower price. Monthly plans cost more, and you can cancel them at any time with 30 days' notice, which is your offboarding period. Multi-year agreements save 10% for 2 years or 20% for 3 years, with your price locked. If you leave, you can take an export of your sites (an offboarding fee is agreed up front in your contract, so there are no surprises).
Multistead focuses on replying to Google reviews for every location and showing their effect on Maps rankings. It does not send review requests by text the way Birdeye does. Tell us on a demo how you collect reviews today, and we'll show how it fits with Multistead.
Multistead publishes per-location prices of $249, $449 or $649 a month, billed annually, plus $990 a month for headquarters, with no per-user fees. Birdeye quotes on request; third-party sites report $299 to $449 per location per month as of October 2026.
Multistead bills annually, and the terms are in the contract you sign. If you leave, you can take an export of your sites, with an offboarding fee agreed up front so there are no surprises.
Yes. Owners can edit or write any reply. Headquarters decides which replies post automatically and which need the owner's approval.
Sensitive replies wait for a human before posting, the platform uses MFA, an audit log and encryption, and we sign a BAA. HIPAA compliance is still shared with you, so set a reply policy that never confirms someone is a patient.
