Birdeye pricing in 2026: plans, cost per location and contracts
Birdeye does not publish its prices. Its pricing page is a quote form that asks how many locations you have. Third-party sites consistently report three plans, Starter at $299, Growth at $349 and Dominate at $449 per location per month, with custom pricing and discounts for multi-location brands. Treat those as list prices you can negotiate from.
What Birdeye's own pricing page says
As of October 2026, birdeye.com/pricing has no prices or named plans. It says "Pricing built around outcomes, not seat counts" and "One platform, one contract: replace point products and pay only for what you deploy at your locations." The form groups brands into 1–3, 4–9, 10–39, 40–249, 250–999 and 1,000+ locations, which suggests the rate changes across those bands.
Birdeye cost per location: the third-party figures
These are third-party estimates, not prices from Birdeye:
| Plan | Reported price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $299 per location per month | Reviews-led entry plan |
| Growth | $349 per location per month | Older sources show $399 |
| Dominate | $449 per location per month | CostBench reports a cut from $499 in February 2026 |
| Multi-location / Premium | Custom | Discounts for more locations |
Sources, as of October 2026: CostBench (says it cross-checked these figures on August 26, 2026), SocialPilot (a Birdeye competitor), CostBench changelog and ContractorToolStack.
The extra costs are less certain. SocialPilot says Dominate-tier extras such as referrals, mass texting, surveys and competitor insights cost $100–$150 a month each. ContractorToolStack reports a 12-month minimum contract, add-ons at $50–$150 a month, onboarding of $500–$1,500 per location and an "innovation fee" of about 8% at renewal. That last set comes from a single source we could not confirm elsewhere, so ask Birdeye about each item directly.
What Birdeye includes
Birdeye now sells itself as "AI Coworkers for Multi-location Brands." Its homepage, as of October 2026, groups the product into three AI coworkers on its BirdAI platform:
- Jay (marketing): AI search, reviews, listings, social, marketing automation, chatbot, Pages (location websites) and content.
- Myna (operations): front desk, appointments, reminders, waitlist and insurance verification, across voice, email and text.
- Robin (customer experience): surveys, insights, competitors, ticketing and reporting.
That is a wide product. Birdeye does well at pulling reviews from many sites into one place and asking customers for reviews by text and email, and it covers a lot of the front desk. Which of these modules your quote includes is the main thing that moves the price.
Worked numbers: Birdeye cost for 10, 25 and 50 locations
Here is what the third-party list prices add up to per year, next to Multistead's published prices. Birdeye offers multi-location discounts, so treat its column as a ceiling, not a quote.
| Locations | Birdeye Starter (3P list) | Birdeye Dominate (3P list) | Multistead Local (recurring) | Multistead Complete (recurring) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | $35,880/yr | $53,880/yr | $65,760/yr | $89,760/yr |
| 25 | $89,700/yr | $134,700/yr | $133,110/yr | $187,110/yr |
| 50 | $179,400/yr | $269,400/yr | $254,340/yr | $350,460/yr |
Multistead math: $449 (Local) or $649 (Complete) per location per month on annual billing, 10% off location fees at 25–99 locations, plus $990 a month for headquarters (waived at 50+ locations on Complete). Volume discounts apply to location fees only. Recurring costs only: Multistead also charges a one-time setup fee, quoted on your first call, based on the number of sites. Birdeye math: reported list price × locations × 12, before discounts, onboarding or add-ons.
The honest reading: Multistead is not the cheaper option here. Local's $449 per location matches Birdeye's top reported tier, Dominate, before you add Multistead's $990 headquarters fee. At 10 locations Multistead Local costs more than Birdeye Dominate at list price; at 25 and 50 locations it is slightly under, but Birdeye's multi-location discounts can easily close or reverse that gap. Against Birdeye Starter, Multistead costs more at every size. So compare on scope, not price. The difference is what you get for the money. Birdeye is broader on reviews, messaging and the front desk. Multistead is built around a full website for every location that owners can edit within brand guardrails, plus SEO, a rank grid and a franchisee support desk. For a cheaper reviews-only route, Reputation publishes $80–$150 per location per month as of October 2026.
Contracts, renewal and cancellation
Birdeye's page promises "one contract" but doesn't publish its terms. The most common complaint in reviews is about contracts, not features: some reviewers on Capterra describe being held to a full annual term and finding it hard to cancel. These are individual accounts, not Birdeye's stated terms, but they tell you what to check before you sign. Reviewers also praise Birdeye's ease of use and how it brings reviews together in one place.
Questions to ask Birdeye
- What is my per-location price at my location count, and what discount applies at the next band?
- How long is the term? Does it auto-renew, and how many days' notice do I need to cancel?
- Is there an onboarding fee per location, and a price increase at renewal?
- Which modules are in the quote: reviews, listings, social, Pages, webchat, surveys?
- Are Pages full websites that each location can edit, or landing pages on a locator?
- If we leave, what happens to our Pages, review history and data?
Where Multistead fits, and when to stay with Birdeye
Stay with Birdeye if review requests by text, webchat, messaging and front-desk automation are what you rely on, and your location websites already work. Multistead doesn't try to replace those.
Look at Multistead if the gap is the location website and the governance around it. Every location gets its own site from templates headquarters approves; owners edit hours, team, offers and photos; HQ sees every location's reports and dashboards; AI drafts replies to Google reviews, with sensitive ones held for the owner; and franchisee requests run through a support desk with SLAs. Prices are published, with unlimited users. For clinics, we sign a BAA. If you leave, you can take an export of your sites (an offboarding fee is agreed up front in your contract, so there are no surprises). See our review management page and the Birdeye vs Podium comparison.
Questions
Is there a long-term contract?
Annual plans are a 12-month commitment at the lower price. Monthly plans cost more, and you can cancel them at any time with 30 days' notice, which is your offboarding period. Multi-year agreements save 10% for 2 years or 20% for 3 years, with your price locked. If you leave, you can take an export of your sites (an offboarding fee is agreed up front in your contract, so there are no surprises).
How much does Birdeye cost per location?
Birdeye does not publish prices; its pricing page is a quote form. Third-party sites report Starter at $299, Growth at $349 and Dominate at $449 per location per month as of October 2026, with custom pricing and discounts for multi-location brands.
Does Birdeye require an annual contract?
Birdeye doesn't publish its terms. Third-party sources and reviewers describe 12-month contracts, and some reviewers report difficulty cancelling. Ask for the term length, auto-renewal and notice period in writing before you sign.
Are there hidden costs with Birdeye?
Third-party sources mention onboarding fees, add-on modules at roughly $50 to $150 a month each, and a renewal increase. These figures are unconfirmed by Birdeye, so ask for every fee to be listed in the quote.
Is Birdeye cheaper than Multistead?
Often, yes. Birdeye's reported plans run $299 to $449 per location per month; Multistead's published prices are $249, $449 or $649, plus $990 a month for headquarters. Multistead Local at $449 matches Birdeye's top reported tier, so Birdeye is likely the same or cheaper once its multi-location discounts apply. Does Birdeye build websites for each location?
Birdeye offers Pages, which it launched in 2020 as per-location pages, and its homepage lists Pages under its marketing coworker. Ask whether they are full sites each location can edit or landing pages, and who owns them if you leave.
